Cumberland Gap

Cumberland Gap is a new name for an old favorite (Some Assembly Required). Well, it's all together now and one fine package, always fun and has a great sound! Chuck Kibler is the leader of the group and plays a good lead/rhythm guitar and sings most of the lead and tenor backup. Gary Potter is the mandolin man and sings lead and baritone harmony. Eldon Adkins plays the banjo and sings harmony. Love that banjo!! Dee Adkins plays a strong bass and sings a beautiful tenor and some lead as well.

This is one fine band and Red River Valley Bluegrass is proud to have them as a member band. The group has been together about a year and a half. They have also played at several festivals over the last year in Texas to include:

Wildflower Bluegrass Festival in Temple, TX;
Spring Creek's Bluegrass Festival;
Salmon Lake Park's Fall Bluegrass Festival;
Overton Bluegrass Festival;
Leonard Bluegrass Festival.

They are currently scheduled to perform at the Fall Bluegrass Festival at Tres Rios on November 1st. They also play at private parties, weddings and perform gospel bluegrass shows at churches. They have just completed recording their first CD last weekend and look forward to finishing the project (mastering, artwork, and reproduction) later this year.
